August 18, 2010 @ 6:05 pm
Muddy River Jam by Sarah Tamar

Our resident photographer, Sarah Tamar, went off the grid this past weekend and lived to tell about it.  Here’s her story:

When the big white van pulled up in front of my spot in Brooklyn and six of us piled into the back for the three hour ride to the Muddy River Jam Festival (http://www.muddyriverjam.com/) this past weekend in Woodstown, New Jersey, I knew it was going to be one of those perfectly wild summertime city escape stories you talk about for years to come.

Not disappointed, the festival consisted of everything from amazing music (The

I Went: Off the Grid and Back

July 8, 2010 @ 1:01 am
Squam Lake

Squam Lake, New Hampshire

While most people were in the Hamptons or down the shore this weekend I took things a step further and went to New Hampshire.   Sometimes its good to just go off the grid for a while.  Also, in moments of blog silence I recommend you follow me on Twitter to make sure I am still alive. I was up every morning and out of the house at 7:30 (earlier than I get up for work!) to go fishing and in bed by midnight.  We ate homemade, handpicked, fresh everything.

There is…

Sunday Best – Movin to Bushwick

June 25, 2010 @ 1:22 pm
Brooklyn Fire Proof

A letter from Justin Carter, Eamon Harkin & Doug Singer:

The owner of the property, the local police precinct, and the community have worked with us over the past couple weeks to keep
