Last Wednesday, Gallery Bar hosted a kick off celebration for the artwork of Damon Johnson and his collaboration with Swagger: New York.  SNY and Blaise and Co. Contemporary Art put together the highly-anticipated event celebrating The Beautiful Chaos: A Style Installation.

The Beautiful Chaos: a Style Installation marks the first occasion a Contemporary artist is working with the recently launched WALLS 360 graphics.  Johnson’s work is inspired by his upbringing filled with comics and skateboarding. It’s easy to grasp this inspiration from examining his work, there is a significant graffiti influence that has helped defined him as an artist. His professional career began after graduating from NYU in 2000 and has continued to show his pieces throughout a diverse group of venues in the East Village and LES.

The installation by the artist is fused with iconic street fashion via Swagger: New York images and Johnson’s vivid street art. The party was kick-ass and I encourage all to stop by Gallery Bar to check this stuff out.
