The Williamsburg Word: Hellos and Goodbyes
Banter: Banter is a new pub that offers over 24 beers on tap. You can check out the full menu here. (132 Havemeyer @ S1st)
Midway: From the creators of Ontario Bar, the new Grand St bar boasts $3 high life bottles all day, a pool table, and some other Williamsburg game staples. (272 Grand @ Roebling)
Juniper: The expired ‘Brooklyn Dugout’ is not a burger joint that sells a CHORIZO Burger AND a TRUFFLE Burger. Ummm. Hi. [Menu] (112 Berry btwn N7th and N8th)
Blackout: NY Mag says, “Created by the same crew who masterminded the hipster-chic boutique chain Oak, the space has successfully lured Manhattan scenesters out to Greenpoint, but on typical nights you’ll find a smattering of locals.” [FW] (916 Manhattan @ Kent)
The Shop/ Urban Country Club: The once motorcyle garage is now a full bar and venue with a Comedy Night every Monday. They also now serve pulled pork sandwiches and ribs. [Facebook] (290 Metropolitan Ave at Roebling)
Rose Live Music: The final days are upon us as this legendary venue is set to close at the end of March. Apparently it was supposed to close-close but now I hear it may just become a full blown restaurant as Vetura plans to expand upstairs. I will be holding back tears as Thought plays their final show (at Rose) this Wednesday. (345 Grand St @ Marcy)
