The Box – Still Going Strong

The exclusive Lower East Side haven for debauchery, The Box, has been deemed ‘over’ by a few sources; however I am here to report it is still alive and well. Continuing the week’s Birthday celebration, we had an action packed Saturday night ahead of us. We kicked off our night with dinner at Minetta Tavern, this time Ellen Barkin was seated next to us. The food was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend the Lobster Salad – it was phenomenal. One of the girls in our party knew the chef (weird. we know chefs all over town) and he kindly sent over some house specialties ie: Roasted Bone Marrow and the likes. After many champagne-St. Germain cocktails and some desert, we were ready to rock.
We made our way over to The Box – the usual hangout. Everyone has there regular hangout spot… ours happens to be The Box. We had a table with our names written all over it and continued our champagne fest. We are one glass deep when none other than Josh Locus walks up and tries to snatch our table. Sorry buddy – can’t compete with a table of fierce ladies. Clearly he got moved and the bottles continued to flow. We win. Anywaysssss, the point of this story is that The Box is still hot. Their Wednesday Box Beach Club parties are jumpin.
This Wednesday, they are throwing a Pajama Party (any excuse for nudity) in to the mix and DJ Messkid (my fav! *swoon*) will be on the decks. So of course I will be heading there after Canal Room and Greenhouse.
You must be in full theme attire in order to get in. No exceptions.
Girls: sexy lingerie, cute pjs, whatever you sleep in.
Guys: silk smoking jackets, matching pajama sets, boxers. Hugh Hef style.
