Oh Wednesday nights how I love thee.   Wednesday happens to be one of my favorite nights of the week to go out.  I actually just go over my hangover!

The first stop of the night was to SubMercer.   BTW, SubMercer is back if you didn’t know.    My girl Solie was performing and doing a private party there, so I decided it was the perfect opportunity to check it out.  Greeted by a familiar face at the door, we got right in and hopped in the freight elevator, zigzagged our way through the underground hallways, until we reached the great RED door, a red door most people will never get to see.   By time I arrive I miss my friends performance – which I heard was outstanding.   I was a big fan of the space.  Very intimate, yet low key – almost reminded me of a Beatrice but much nicer inside – but the vibe was kinda the same as well as the drink prices.  Holy Shit. FYI ladies – they don’t do bottles and they don’t really do promoters, so it wont be as easy to finagle free drinks.

The next stop was BADDIES, for my friend Todd’s going away bash.  Baddies.  My home away from home.  I find I end up here most Wednesday nights with the whole “I’m not drinking tonight” attitude and then end up stumbling outta there.  Alex Pall, one half of The Chainsmokers, and DJ MSB(MSBMSB) were on decks and it was pretty much an Electrokids Wednesday reunion up in there.  All we were missing was Rhetters and DJ Messkid.  Had a dance party, had a few drinks to many, and decided to call it a night.  Who starts drinking at 1AM! Bad Idea!

To get in on the action, enter the unmarked door to the right of the restaurant. Descend the narrow stairway and find your way into the dark, inviting bar and adjacent black-boothed lounge, divided by a wall of jars, each holding its own orange betta fish.

On any given night, the room is filled with beautiful people of all ilk—fun-loving folks from Down Under, fashion-industry types and, of course, the mandatory couple of celebs dancing on tables.

Except – there arent really that many Aussies – and I think there are skulls in glass displays instead of Beta Fish.
